October 31. 2002 The guest of the vicepresident of KSR Michal Ilko and director of the Office of KSR Rozalia Mudra was extraordinary and plenopotentiary ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Slovakia Uta - Maria Mayer-Schalburg. Kosice self-governing region is the first region she visited in her position. The main themes of the meeting were introduction of the Kosice region, transfer of the competences to self-governing regions and building of the infrastructure in Eastern Slovakia with the possible future investment intentions.
